Catch the Wave

IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Microwave Week is an annual event show casing the best research, technology, and products in the realm of RF and microwave engineering. It provides a platform where experts in academia and industry can converge and exchange ideas. The technical events include presentations, poster sessions, and panel sessions and are complemented by a world-class industry exhibition and exhibitor presentations. The social events provide an excellent opportunity to connect with peers and discuss ideas in a casual setting.

The IEEE conference will be coming to Honolulu June 4 to June 9, 2017 and will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center. The last time it came to Hawaii was in 2007. While IMS is an annual event, 2017 marks only the second time IMS has visited the shores of Hawai’i, so opportunities like this are uncommon.

IMS is the world’s largest gathering of professionals and vendors in the microwave, RF, and wireless communities, bringing over 8,000 attendees and over 400 product and service vendors from all over the world.

There’s a lot of attraction to locals. Among them are:

-For kama’aina only – FREE Exhibition Hall pass for all three days of the exhibition (June 6-8) and early-bird pricing even after the early-bird registration period ends on May 8.

-RF Boot Camp.

-5G Summit that discusses the next generation of wireless and networking.

Why is this of interest to Amateur Radio Operators? Amateur Operators can see the latest in Microwaves technology and talk with some of the subject matter experts in the field. Hams who are interested in RF technology may find this interesting.

As a benefit to local businesses and professionals, we are offering a Kama’aina discount to attend our exhibitor show for free on Tues, Wed, and Thurs June 6, 7, and 8.

Please register using the instructions and promo code listed below to get your free pass for the exhibitor show.
